America the beautiful...and isn't that the truth?

The U.S. is filled with stunning locations that appeal to locals and travelers alike. These destinations are often so breathtaking that they become tourists attractions and go on to be considered world-renowned sites.

Texas is specifically known for its local wonders, but what lands these glorious destinations on a list of the most beautiful places in the nation?

Be it originality, cultural significance, breathtaking architecture, or natural beauty, something about the locations we're going to discuss today set them apart from other popularly visited spots across the country.

According to a list compiled by House Beautiful, the most beautiful places to visit in Texas are Big Bend National Park (ranking10th), San Antonio's Riverwalk, and Dallas' Klyde Warren Park.

Other locations on the list of the "most beautiful place in the United States you need to visit asap" include New York City, Kerry Park in Seattle, and Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona, to name a few.

Here's what House Beautiful had to say about the most beautiful places to visit in Texas:

Big Bend National Park in Brewster County:

"Don't let the glimpse of water fool you: This desert park is hot. However, the temperatures are as high as the scenery is beautiful. At Big Bend National Park, you can find breathtaking mountain views, see awe-inspiring sunrises and sunsets, and hike through the habitats of so many plants and animals. It's one of the landscapes that's sure to stay with you for years."

Riverwalk in San Antonio:

"This colorful riverwalk stretches 15 miles and is a must-see if you find yourself in the city. Museums, shops, restaurants, and hotels border the water, allowing whoever's walking alongside it to see much of what San Antonio has to offer. However, for an even more fun event, opt for a hop-on, hop-off river cruise which will take you to iconic spots like the Arneson River Theatre and the art museum."

Klyde Warren Park:

"This urban park over a freeway in Dallas is an escape for the residents and a beautiful place to hang out for anyone who so desires. The Klyde Warren Park connects the Dallas Arts District to other areas of the city and contains many active and passive spaces, as well as a restaurant, stage, dog parks, and fountains. Not to mention, the view of the Dallas skyline is superb from here too."
